Hyundai RN22e
Hyundai N's first electric rolling lab, a 585 PS Ioniq 6 with 800-volt charging and simulated gear shifts.
About the car
The RN22e was revealed on 15 July 2022 at Hyundai's N Day alongside the N Vision 74. It is a rolling laboratory built on the Ioniq 6 body and the E-GMP platform, with a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system producing 585 PS and 740 Nm, an 800-volt architecture with 77.4 kWh battery and a top speed of 250 km/h. It introduced N's e-shift simulated gear changes and N Sound+ synthetic engine sound, torque vectoring by twin clutches at the rear and 400 mm hybrid brake discs. Lessons from the RN22e went into the Ioniq 5 N launched in 2023. The VP1 was the first validation prototype.
