About the car
The Hyundai Kona N was revealed in April 2021 as the first SUV from Hyundai's N performance division, based on the first-generation Kona. It uses the 2.0-litre turbocharged Theta II four-cylinder from the i30 N, rated at 280 PS and 392 Nm, with an eight-speed wet dual-clutch N DCT and front-wheel drive through an electronic limited-slip differential. The N Grin Shift button raises output to 290 PS for 20 seconds. Hyundai quoted 0-100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. The car was tuned at the Nürburgring, sold in Performance Blue and other N colours, and was built in Ulsan, Korea, until the first-generation Kona ended in 2023.
